About me

My name is Sara and I was born and raised in a suburb of Seattle. After growing up in a busy town love has whisked me off to the rural area of Carnation, WA near the mountains. It's been a small bit of a culture shock, but I've learned to love it here and am currently living here half time between my mom's house because of school. Oh yeah, school. I am currently an Interior Design student at Bellevue College (there's no "Community" in there anymore!) I started my first quarter this January and have already learned so much! I hope to share what I learn here in this blog. I do not however give permission for anyone to use my work posted as their own. This blog is simply to share what I have learned with people who are interested, not to provide answers for people taking the same courses, plus.... I don't post my grades, so I might be full of crap right? :)


I'm also an Etsy shop owner. The shop goes by the same name, LaceandMason. There you can find my creative outlet and new-found hobby of "upcycling" goods. The items mostly come from thrift stores and garage sales and always find a new way to challenge me.
Other than up cycling I am an avid sewer, beginning knitter, crappy drawer, unaccomplished beader, and have a pretty good eye for style, but I guess I'm biased.







I live with my amazing boyfriend Jeff! He's been the best thing to ever happen to me. He has humbled me in so many ways without skimping on telling me everyday that I'm beautiful. 
Yeah, We're in love :)


This is our pup Colby, a Lab- Border Collie Mix birthday present to me for my 22nd birthday! He's the cutest damn thing in the world and I love him to pieces, I can't wait to sew him up a doggy jacket when he's done growing :)
